SimplePractice

Visual design in-house for a health and wellness tech company.
Overview
SimplePractice is software for behavioral health professionals to better run their businesses. It's a robust ecosystem that helps clinicians along every step in their journey, from pre-licensure, to growing their practice, to continuing education.
My Contributions
I joined the SimplePractice team in 2017 as employee number 13, and created the visual identity. I've enjoyed helping that original work evolve and grow along with the business, over the past 5 years working in-house. My designs touch every part of the customer experience, including:
• Logo and brand
• Photography
• Web design
• eBooks & one-pagers
• Social media
• Video & event art direction
• Product & marketing illustrations
SimplePractice
Lead Visual Designer
 January 2017 – Present
SimplePractice is empathetic, professional, and secure. Every employee cares deeply about making customer's lives better—after all, these are the people who are taking care of the world's mental health. Being a therapist is more than a career... it's often a calling.

The brand is calming and airy. The logo depicts a butterfly, representing the transformative nature of the therapeutic process, and I developed various patterns inspired by butterfly wings.

I was tasked with creating the visual style for a friendly explainer video for potential customers, showing how the product could positively impact their every day business life.

This video has lived at the top of the SimplePractice homepage and has an average percentage view of 76%. It's also been shortened as a 30-second social ad, with over a million views and a 98% average percentage view.
